The TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) has presented, as every year, its most coveted awards for the best photo and imaging products in the world. The company Bron Elektronik AG, Allschwil / Switzerland has been awarded a prize.
The prize goes to the Swiss manufacturer for their broncolor Senso power packs. Below TIPA’s
nomination text: “Best Professional Flash System: broncolor Power Pack Senso series
The broncolor Senso series combines easily controllable flash power and compact size. The Senso power pack is available in two power versions, offering 13 to 1200 J or 26 to 2400 J (Ws) flash energy for up to three lamps in two channels plus 5 f-stop asymmetry. Appealing and practical features include constant colour temperature over
three f-stops and a built-in radio receiver RFS 2. Jointly developed for the Senso power packs, the Litos flash head offers flexible handling with a protective cap that can quickly be converted into an umbrella or standard reflector.”
The association TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) was founded in 1991 as an independent non-profit association for photo magazines from the fields photo and imaging. With 29 members from 14 countries TIPA is the largest and most influential association of its kind in the world. TIPA has member magazines from nine European
countries plus Australia, Canada, China, USA and South Africa. Every year, TIPA editors of the associated magazines vote for the best photo and imaging products in the world. The Litos lamp was developed to match the Senso power packs: it is remarkably compact, weighs very little, is multifunctional, and has an excellent price/performance ratio. The protecting glass can be quickly replaced with an umbrella or standard reflector to suit the shoot. Litos features a pan/tilt head for one-hand operation and an integrated umbrella holder. The intelligent cooling system only switches on when the service temperature of the power pack reaches a threshold level. The bayonet mount is compatible
with other broncolor lamps and gives the user access to a comprehensive range of lamps, light shapers, and accessories. The lamp is equipped with a release button that allows quick reflector changes and 360° rotation. Thanks to its innovative design, the Litos lamp stows away compactly for transport and storage.
The Swiss lighting manufacturer is presenting for the first time at Photokina both of its new power packs, Senso, with 1200 and 2400 J and the Litos lamp. Besides the innovative design, the new products deliver genuine studio performance for the price of a compact system. A control range of 6.5 f-stops correspond to 13 to 1200 J with the Senso A2, or 26 to 2400 J with the Senso A4. Symmetric and free asymmetric power distribution over three lamp outlets, short flash duration and short charging time, constant colour temperature, radio remote triggering etc.
These products are available individually and also in four different kits, which are focused on the requirements of the user – because light requirements are as varied as photographic assignments. The handy travel case accommodates all the kit components and keeps everything organised. Users have the choice between the
